MasterChef Spoilers

Hello everybody!

Today, I am going to be writing a blog post that is unlike anything I have ever written, and potentially unlike anything else I will ever write.

As I said at the end of my last blog post, MasterChef is going on hiatus until July 15, as this week, they thought it was a good idea to air two hours of their Say What You See game show The Floor, and then the World Cup starts the very next day.

However, there are some things that I feel need to be addressed right now. And by that, I mean spoilers.

Here’s something you should all know. Fox is VERY bad when it comes to spoilers for their shows, as if you are paying close enough attention to any of the trailers, you will find out very important information about who gets eliminated and when, or how long certain contestants are in the competition. It has happened with Hell’s Kitchen, it has happened with The Masked Singer, and it has happened with MasterChef.

This is nothing that is surprising to me, as I have been aware of various team changes on Hell’s Kitchen before they actually happened, known who would be eliminated by certain points, known how many performances certain contestants have on The Masked Singer, known when certain contestants get unmasked, known what contestants are in which groups on The Masked Singer, and in two cases, literally knew the outcome of the season BEFORE IT EVEN STARTED.

This season of MasterChef has not been any different, as there were several major spoilers in both the opening montage of the first episode and the trailer at the end of the last episode of what to expect this season.

I am going to be starting off small, with some basic information, before transitioning into massive spoilers.

The first thing I will be discussing is upcoming challenges in episodes.

First of all, there is almost certainly going to be a baking challenge, as the trailers showed multiple desserts being made, presumably in the same episode.

Another challenge that they showed was one called Wheel Of Fusion. And in case you were wondering, yes, the judges did say that name like how everybody says Wheel Of Fortune. Also, they included almost every type of cuisine you can think of on that wheel. The choices were Peruvian, Brazilian, Mexican, Jamaican, Swedish, Italian, Greek, French, Nigerian, Kenyan, South African, Moroccan, Indian, Japanese, Thai, and Australian. If I had to guess, every contestant will spin the wheel, and whichever country they land on, they will have to make a dish that fuses that country and the country they are representing.

There is also going to be another Team Challenge, but this time, the contestants will be cooking for a wedding. Yeah, isn’t that a great idea? You get all excited for your big day, and then it turns out that not only is it going to be on television, but it’s also going to be catered by amateur home cooks with Gordon Ramsay yelling at them.

Then, there will be a challenge where I guess they have to make a dish that would go viral on social media. I’m only guessing here, because there were smartphones underneath the Mystery Boxes, and it also features past contestant and wildly successful food social media influencer Nick DiGiovanni as a guest judge.

Then, they will have the infamous Tag Team Challenge, which is where the Top 10 Contestants will work in teams of two, one at a time, switching out every ten minutes, to cook a platter of certain foods.

The episode after that one, is something, but I have no idea what it is. They did not include it in either of the trailers.

After that, they will have the equally infamous Wall Challenge, where the Top 8 will be competing in four teams of two, cooking the same dish with a massive wall between them, and by the end of the cook time,  they will have to have identical dishes.

The episode after that one will be the even more equally infamous Restaurant Takeover Challenge, which is where the Top 6 will be split into two teams of three to take over the kitchen of a restaurant.

The episode after that one will be easily the most difficult challenge of the season, as it will see the remaining contestants having to make the same dish at the same time as Chef Ramsay, but there is a twist this time around. Chef Ramsay is not the only judge they will have to keep up trying to make a dish with, as Chef Tiffany Derry will also be doing the same thing in the episode, though as of right now, I don’t know who will be first and who will be second.

From there, we will have our three person Finale, and as a result, our winner of the season.

Now I’m going to get into very serious spoilers. By that, I mean the placements of certain contestants, and the results of certain challenges.

Here’s the outcome of the next episode. Some of what I am about to say is speculation, and some of it was confirmed by the trailers.

The challenge for this episode appears to be some sort of dessert challenge. The contestants who land in the top for this episode will be Julia, Shompa, Rita, and Jake, and Julia will end up winning the challenge and the Immunity Pin, as she is clearly shown standing on the balcony for the next episode. As for who will be eliminated in this episode, it appears that we will be looking at a double elimination, with Daniel and Britny being eliminated.

The episode after that one will be the Wheel Of Fusion, as Julia is seen on the balcony this episode, and the contestants that land in the top will be Aishu, Aghata, Peter, and Maria, and Maria will win the challenge and the Immunity Pin, as we can clearly see her wearing an Immunity Pin in the next episode, while we will have YET ANOTHER double elimination, this time with Rita and Shompa.

The episode after that one will be the Team Challenge at the wedding, and you can clearly see Maria wearing an Immunity Pin at this time, indicating that she had won the previous challenge, and there was also a team of six at this time, the Blue Team, which consisted of the contestants representing Africa and The Americas, and the other team, the Red Team, which consisted of the contestants representing Europe and Asia-Pacific. At this point in time, contestants like Rita and Britny are nowhere to be seen, while another trailer showed that the red team had lost the challenge, and it showed that Jaime and Aghata were in the bottom.

The episode after that one will be the one with Nick DiGiovanni. You can clearly see eleven contestants there, and Daniel and Shompa are not there, meaning that they got eliminated before the Team Challenge, and Aghata is also noticeably not there, showing that she got eliminated after the Team Challenge. A trailer also showed Nick saying to a contestant that he could taste Morocco in the dish, which tells me that Dave landed in the top for the challenge, as he is the contestant representing Morocco. You could also see Tkaiya at the beginning of the episode, but not during the actual cook time, which tells me she is the Team Captain of the winning team for the wedding challenge.

The episode after that one will be The Tag Team Challenge, and here is what the five teams for this challenge are. They are: Aishu & Jaime, Basia & Foo, Julia & Heidi, Dave & Jake, and Peter & Tkaiya. As you probably noticed, I did not say Maria in any of the teams, which means she gets eliminated in the Nick DiGiovanni episode.

After that is some episode that I don’t know what it will be, so I unfortunately can’t say what I think it will be.

The episode after that one will be The Wall Challenge, and as of right now, we only know seven of the eight contestants at this point in the show. They are: Basia, Foo, Julia, Heidi, Dave, Peter, and Tkaiya. As I said, we only know seven out of eight in this challenge, and the eighth one is one of these three: Jaime, Aishu, or Jake.

For the Restaurant Takeover and part of the episode where they have to keep up with Chef Ramsay and Tiffany Derry, we again, don’t know everything, but we know some very important information here, one of which is pure speculation, and the other of which is confirmed by the trailers.

For the past few seasons, the episode before The Finale has been two different challenges, and there has been an elimination after each challenge, and there is a chance that will continue with this season.

Now, as for what has been confirmed, we know the final four contestants of the season. Yes, that’s right. We literally know who has a greater chance of winning than everyone else. For those of you who are wondering who the Final Four are, they are Julia, Basia, Heidi, and Peter.

Now I bet you’re all wondering the same thing. Who do I think is going to win? Well, if I hadn’t been watching the show for so many years, I would say Heidi, as she has already been at the top of two challenges. But since I have been watching the show for as long as I have, I have since learned that the person who wins the season is ALWAYS the person who is either the first or last person to win an apron in their episode, which Heidi wasn’t. However, this does apply to Julia, Basia, and Peter, meaning that if the three of them make it to The Finale, any one of them could win.

Overall, I hope you all enjoyed reading this investigative post, and I’ll see you all soon, when I start doing what those rewatch podcasts do!

And Fox, if you have a problem with what I have written here, don’t make trailers with such blatant spoilers. Frankly, it’s your fault that this blog post even exists.
